It is more interesting as an object, but it is fine to hold. The Caran d Ache Ecridor, is nicest pencil to use in my opinion. They have become super expensive lately though. I have not explored Japanese brands like Kuru Toga, you have to stop somewhere.
We've been enduring a heatwave - in the British sense. 28 degrees here in Cumbria. So an early morning walk was callde for. Up on the fell the ox-eye daisies were doing their thing.
Wonderful. I'm definitely in the 'love them' camp. The first is pefectly caught.
When our younger daughter was little, she had a fox cub glove puppet called Tofe (pronounced Toffee - spelling has never been her strong point 😁). 'She' went everywhere with us, including long car/camping trips in France, where she proved gifted at composing little tunes to keep us occupied on the motorways. "When Tof goes hunting in the night..." was a great hit 😅. Now in her thirties, our daughter still has her, and foxes are a common motif in her house.
That's a sweet story that brings to mind my daughter's similarly loved toy, 'Ellenty' the elephant. He became such a part of our family we eventually staged a wedding to a similar stuffed elephant and we actually set up a ceremony with adult and children guests, a mocked-up altar and had a friend role-play the vicar. And a reception afterwards with alcohol for the adults.
