Can't see the point of a fixed lens unless it is to keep the size to an absolute minimum or simple nostalgia.

Work superbly for me in the Leica Q3 and saves the expense and weight of carrying lenses of other FL.

Each to their own David. The Fuji gives that flexibility to go small but make changes in future if need be. Although I admit I sometimes like the discipline involved in only having one lens, it promotes creative thinking.

Confusing! Is it on the ceiling?

Yes, inside "The Printworks" in Manchester. It's a running video.

    Well go on then...which camera?!

It shows which one in the Exif data below each photo. Can you see it?

    Alan

    No Sir.

Wait. It's appeared now. How odd.
And if I reload the page it's gone again! See both examples below.

How strange. What browser and what O/S?

    Alan

Firefox or Chrome. Still on Windows 10 here.

I bought a new camera on Thursday. Today, I wandered around Manchester with it. The graffiti art was superb.

This street art is really well done. Love the saturated colour.
The X E5 has a nice small form factor, and I think more useful than the fixed lens variant.

Deffo. Can't see the point of a fixed lens unless it is to keep the size to an absolute minimum or simple nostalgia.

Size factor is very important to me. But a single focal length is seriously limiting, especially on the shorter end. High MP can make up for the longer end by cropping in up to a degree.
I think the Q series offers a lot, good IQ, IP-rated weather sealing, size, and they don't lose their financial value as fast as other cameras. I bought my Q2 two years ago and I paid more initially than most Q2s in the market as it has a one-year warranty and was literally like new. Today, if I send it to MPB for a £1000 loss , if I sell it privately, this can be lower. It is a 33% loss, for two years. If I had the Sony A7R V, possibly I would have lost a lot more.

Interesting colours for this ship but it does not seem to be military one where they use camouflage colouring for hull. It's difficult subject, first shot is like hidden image to find ship.

Great artwork indeed, not usual tagging crap. I like this fragile work, seems to have message in it.

I much prefer action shots with birds of prey in flight and the angle of view and background here is nothing to write home about, but catching these two with the camera was a nice way to end the evening.

What a nice evening walk. The peregrines are definitely a plus.
