My pick from this week's set.

OK, OK you can have a fishing bonus point too.
<<<SPECIAL BONUS POINT FOR CHRIS>>>
When I first saw this, it reminded me of one of those Science Fiction films that dominate the cinema these days.
That first is super sharp.
I like the fact it gets dark early, as it is more convenient for my Architectural blue light shots. I can take some night shots and be home for tea.
Like these two particularly.
There is a nice calm evening vibe to this shot.
The garden is turning very autumnal and I have a new lens !

I like the 100 sort of length macro too. Reminds me I must dig it out for some autumn shots.
I'm a bit late posting today as I've been out all day at a singing workshop in Lancaster Priory. A fine building, with great acoustic for singing.
It was a rather challenging all day sing, especially since my voice is still recovering from covid, including all the famous bits - For Unto Us...Halleluya chorus, great Amen etc etc.
I'm always fascinated to look at the organ stops with their weird names;
Val Martello and Resia
Wow!
A Tale of Two Woodlands
The recent storms seem to have brought down a lot of trees in the woods, including this unfortunate specimen.
I've photographed this scene a few times, but I think this is one of the more effective variants I've captured. In previous versions I've been looking more along the line of the overgrown track (this follows the line of the wall seen here at the bottom of the frame), but on this occasion I've looked diagonally across the long lost track which emphasises the effect of branches reaching across it.
From memory, I prefer this first one to previous versions.
The fallen tree reminds me of one of those cartoon characters sliding down a wall/tree by their claws 😁
Narva city moments
Interesting to see 'behind the scenes' in places like this.

'Ophicleide' and 'Contra Fagotto'😁
Something different from your usual photography. Yes, the organ looks incredibly complicated. But the music they make is wonderful.
Hope you get your voice back to prime condition soon.
One last bite
I guess it will soon be snow and ice up your way. Nice portrait.

The Val Martello, in Alto Adige, is one of the wilder valleys in Val Venosta. We took a walk around the artificial lake
Holy cow Nigel, some stupendous photographs here.
I love that beautiful blue water.
I've seen that bell tower before but the dark sky with the tower picked out by the sun is just stunning. They are so good they look fake. Well done you.
I was lucky we had a few brief patches of sunshine.
This is just above the lake.
