    Another zero photo week, bad weather and I must say a lack of enthusiasm to get out and take pictures is to blame. Time for a change of direction maybe.

    When I was on Lake Como a few weeks ago I reshot the interior of S. Maria, Gravedona as I wanted a wider view. I also went back to the Abbey in Piona to see some things I missed.

    Bit different takes

    Here are shots from OM-2, full-frame Olympus OM-2 film camera I bought from flea market in May. To test it I bought roll of film and took tour in old Tallinn to see if camera exposes correctly and does not leak light. Results seem to be promising, after some post-processing I managed to get more-or-less satisfactory results out. Unfortunately camera shop's automatic development supported only ISO 400 film so it's quite grainy and in some shots some smudges are still visible, in some I managed to get rid of them. I suspect that that came from scanning machine. These are mostly snapshots and nothing particular, but I didn't find anything more interesting at moment to post...

    Parnassos in November

    Nobody goes to Mount Parnassos in November. It's Greece's second highest mountain and is popular with hikers in summer and has ski facilities facilities in winter. But November... only weird British hikers 😉
    It was quite chilly (car thermometer said 8degrees), with low cloud which hardly shifted all day. And we saw no-one, all day. A side of Greece that's far removed from the tourist image.

    The lush mountain vegetation is long since desiccated, leaving dried seed heads and next years verbascum rosettes.

    PB065825.jpg

    The path was a bit vague in places - obviously not many people come this way even in summer.

    PB065854.jpg

    The landscape is all limestone, with interesting karstic features...

    PB065857.jpg

    ...including caves like this one. When we have visited in spring this was inaccessible due to a lingering snow bank across the mouth of the cave.

    Some playing around with multi-exposure;

    I sympathise with the lack of enthusiasm. Not much here either, possibly due to lack of time and lousy weather.
    Do you intend to put your romanesque project together into a book?

    The differing angles of the roofs draws the eye in this one (and the penultimate shot).

    Seems like a great time to go. 8 degrees isn't the end of the world.
    The shape of the tree here is perfect and probably looks better without leaves.
