That's an interesting observation. Yes they do seem to face the same way, and I think this is 'normal', maybe to do with where the light (sun) is coming from. I would have gone in closer but didn't want to crush any of the other clumps of flowers springing up all around.

Nice reminder that Spring will soon be here.

South Atlantic Street View - This was a quick stop on the way home from work. It was a bit difficult to shoot because the sidewalk wall/barrier is tall. In order to “see” over the top of the wall, I could not spread-out the tripod legs fully. So, I had to keep the legs very, very close together (tight) in order to get enough extra height. Of course, it is much less stable that way. And the wall was still partially visible even with the legs squeezed-in, so I had to crop-off some “black” on the bottom of the frame. There was also a light wind, so I took a couple of extra shots and tried to "time it" in-between the slight gusts (figuring that things could be a little blurry due to movement -- which was indeed the case). This is a stitch of 3 vertical frames. Roughly 70% of original size with JPEG compression applied to get the file size down to 7 MB.

Very nice! Thanks for the history. 1972... holy smokes. Hard to believe.

Always nice to see "your week" and this one (above) is my favorite. For some reason! I don't know exactly why... I just like it.

Very fun and interesting! Well done. Walks like this are memorable. To be there and to capture it so nicely. How windy and cold was it? How about your "footing" (i.e., don't fall and drop the camera)... any chance of that happening? You survived the adventure!

The exposure and what you may have done in post to bring it to life... very well done! Just the right touch. I like the detail of the bridge deck (underside).

Nice! Yes, we embrace hope to move us forward. One of our Camellias is just now blooming. I took a picture of it today.

Bogged-down with work... I can relate. I am trying to retire (soon). That's a nice shot. I like anything and everything "engineering-related" -- which oddly enough does provide good subject material for photos (at least in my humble opinion it does). :-) I always keep my eyes peeled for these kind of things.

Impressive. The light trails lead to the focal point, the blue building. Which gives the photo a purpose. Small point, I might have cloned out the plane at top right, it looks a bit 'digital'.

Thanks! It was not very cold, ca -6C/21F. Bit windy so I kept to east side of peninsula and was mostly covered from winds, which are prevalently from west. But spending 2,5 hours in these condiitions still got chill to the bones.
Falling was not an option, as in addition to camera and lens mounted to it I had big white 7.5k€ telezoom hanging on my side in case I see some birds, so the total equipment damage from fall could exceed 10k€. 😀 So I was very careful and tested my footing, most treacherous were ice-covered rocks with snow on top, you never know how level or slippery it is. But I managed to do without issues.

Great shot, leading lights into image, centered colourful vent? pipes and massive buildings forming background.
