Really strong lines in this fine picture.
Perfect timing.
Saying bye to winter
Well, seems like winter ends as abruptly as it started. It was fun for these 2 months, though quite cold and more than once I got my fingers frostbitten while photographing or skiing.
Here are my finalizing shots of winter.
Noticed these scenes while walking to market. Initially shot with one of art modes (+RAW) but reprocessed with DXO
On Tuesday it was independency day in Estonia and I went skiing. For change it was relatively warm, just some degrees below freezing, so I took OM-3 with me to make some shots. It was probably my last skiing this winter and forecast for next 10 days is rain and temperatures above freezing point.
Main circuit is 15 km, but I usually do 10 km part of it, as first 5km is in city park and very crowded usually, that 10 km part is further away in forest.
It was snowing in previous night so forest was quite beautiful, especially firs.
15 km track is prepared with tractor but there are also tracks through forest which are spontaneous, I turned to one of such tracks as it was nice ride over the hills while prepared track was mostly flat.
Almost done, 1,5 km to go. This is my least favorite straight on track, as it is narrow and sloped, but it's beautiful, going though nice trees and also through swamp.
Bit confused by this but it's very beautiful.
That sky. Very good.
I much prefer the colour version, which is actually itelf largely monchrome. But I would have reduced the saturation of the overblown lights.

Nice night scene, the person with umbrella and reflection making it.
Sparkle
Last day of meteorological winter
Nice, great light and colours.
Rust
Cargo vessel from Caribbean...
I wonder what paint costs there when it seems to be cheaper to let hull rust rather than repaint it.
This rust spot looks like boat itself with its commando deck, nicely seen.
Nothing special... just a weekly contribution... "through my eyes" -- as I wandered around the yard this past weekend trying to clear my head of all the confusion swirling around inside. No wonder your head is confused if you are carrying around all that information about this boat.
Pleasingly sharp and contrasty image.
The clarity is pretty amazing for a subject so far away.
I am always amazed when I see these little boats pulling large ships.
