I always found this picture a bit over-processed but seeing as I just spent most of last week fishing there, I thought I'd post it.

Bardolino

Sometimes a secondary destination on a photo trip turns out to be a surprise. A small church in the country or in the suburbs, turns out to be a real gem. I was on my way to San Giorgio Valpolicella , and stopped of at the small Romanesque church on the edge of Bardolino, a popular tourist location on Lake Garda. I was not sure if it would be open. It was and I had the place mostly to myself . The Chiesa di San Severo, on the ring road around Bardolino is one such location. This small church has some magnificent, if rather faded frescoes, dating from the Twelfth Century. The depiction of The Apocalypse of John, with its cavalrymen crushing underfoot a group of people is fascinating.

II used a Nikon Z8 with Laowa 15 shift, Nikon 24PC, Nikon 28PC and the Z28-400 for details. A tripod was used for everything.

"Old" photos

I have not photographed much, work and very active concert season here (on one weekend I had to decide between 4 concerts I'd liked to visit) has not left much energy for photography and my rare nature walks haven't resulted into any results.
But I have processed some photos fro concerts this year and printed them out with intention to update my photo board which I haven't done long time. I made them look like old film photos processed by amateur with all the scratches and processing issues.

I am in Istanbul for a football game. It was very disappointing; last night, we very likely lost the title race. Anyway, I am on my way back to the UK at the airport and waiting for my flight.
Before the game, I visited some of the old "Hans". These are old trade centers built during the Ottoman times. They offer nice opportunities for good light and geometry.

Looks like a lovely place to relax and fish. I think it is the missing colour rather than overprocessing, that I find is missing.

Great caught at peak moment shots. But I think rock music needs colour. I shot all my Jazz music stuff in B&W. My shots look very vintage now.

Nice find. Maybe I would have cropped a bit tighter.
