I really like the timeless quality that this shot has.

Well, I aimed for that, used Perier simulation from year 1962 in DXO filmpack time machine for these shots. Worked quite well for first, probably thanks to low contrast this in shade scene provided, but not so much for others, had to modify them.

I think the pose adds to the antique vibe. It reminds me of those old shots where people had to stay posed for a long time.

Stacking is easy with a D850 Z7 or 8. You set up the number of steps in a menu. Focus on the nearest part, and set the camera to work. It is also pretty hit and miss at times. The software output is not always perfect.

THANKS FOR THE INFO. You won't believe this (or maybe you will)... I have a (new) D850 sitting here in a box... since more than a year ago (March 2025). The new price was so good back then (and it has never gotten back to that low level)... I figured... why not? It will take me through the next 10 years! LOL. Of course, that's not what the industry wants to hear, but it works for me. Most of what I buy is clean 2nd hand, so this will be a treat when I finally do it. Anyway, I keep saying to myself... "When I get caught-up with work and have a few days of free time to horse around.. THEN... I'll open the box." Well, that was 15 months ago. On the flip side, shooting with the D810 is not a problem at all.

I found this plant growing above Reggio last year. I went a month ago and I did not see it. I missed it at first this time too, and then found several plants growing, in a different place.

These are stacked pictures. The second shot is made from 50 separate shots. I used a carbon fibre tripod to keep the camera steady, and luckily there was no wind

Beautiful orchids, the photos have a nice dreamy look.

It has been a very hot week here but that morning there was rain in the air and some dramatic skies. There is a bird hide overlooking the ponds, which provides shelter from the weather, but means only one viewpoint is available. But it's not a bad one!

This is my pick. The sky is pretty dramatic, and I liked the tension between the swans and the sky.
