Beautiful peach colour in that sky.
Beautiful peach colour in that sky.
Although you didn't get everything in frame this is still pretty spectacular.
The 2nd is lovely indeed.
I just spent what seemed like an eternity looking for the blue perspex lid.
I just don't understand how people can enjoy going down into those caves or pot holes.
A fascinating walk. I would love to come across the Butterwort.
Nice indeed. I like the person in background, seems to contemplate whether to take sip or not, fighting inner fight. And guy in foreground has nice pose with his gesticulating hand.
Tree is interesting with its shape. And shadowe seems even more interesting, seems like person with one hand up waving and other hand on hip.
Magnificent sky and mountains in background, wet sand makes nice leading line.
This is great, like painting, zig-zag lines leading to background.
Today on shortest night the civil night lasts here from 00:17 to 02.28, i.e. bit more than 2 hours, and we can forget nautical or astronomical nights until end of July.
I first discovered them in the Alps. Wet boggy places, usually quite high up where there's not too much competition from other vegetation.
Nice, France.
Good catch!
Lonely bench anyone?!
It has a good view and a nice shade, though!
Sorry if I do not participate much this week. We are down in Versilia, in Tuscany for a short break and a Richard Ashcroft concert. It is pretty much too hot to do anything.
Sunset shot on my phone.
The sunset is beautiful and the sea is beautifully captured.
FIRE!
Saw crowd on town hall square and approached it, appears that fire artist was performing. Well, actually I knew what supposed to happen there but was bit late and when I arrived show was already started. At first I thought that it's impossible for me to take any photos in this crowd but found quite good spot to see show and capture some photos. There was also guy with PHOTOGRAPHER sign on back taking photos, but I hope that shooting along with him was OK, most of crowd was using their phones anyway. Fortunately my OM-3 does not look very professional so I blended along with tourists. :P Unfortunately show was performed in June, around 9 PM when it is still quite bright here (1,5 hours before sunset) so fire is not as magnificent as it would have been in darker.
Yes, fire shows look better in the dark. You caught a nice goldfish there :)
Pothole country
Last weekend we went exploring the nearest hills of the Dales (but Westmorland not Yorkshire 😁) just east of Kirkby Lonsdale. It's pothole country, riddled with unassuming cracks in the ground that lead to miles of spectacular caves - if you're prepared to get wet, muddy and scared. We stuck to the surface 😄
Setting off from Bullpot Farm cavers' bunkhouse (aka Red Rose Cave club). You can tell from the vegetated walls that it rains a lot up here;
A nice and wet scenery :)
