Cool, like a phalanx protecting the umbrellas behind.

I mix all of my photos together and just pick the best ones. I'm no longer prejudice against my phone if I don't see problems. My phone shoots RAW when I remember to use it.

Along the Lancaster Canal
I have looked at this set a couple of times before commenting. At first the first shot was my favourite, but somehow I think 2 and 3 are the best in this nice low key set. Canals are always interesting. I loved walking the Kennet and Avon in Bath
Egret, surveying...
A terrifying sight for a fish.
Last week I was in Hard Rock laager, 2 days and 22 bands. This year we had luck with weather, mostly sunny with just ocassional rain. I left my camera home and just took some photos with my phone, concentrating on experience instead.
View over small river. For some bands some locals gathered on other side to enjoy show without paying.
It's part of your story but this makes a fine landscape in its own right.
A short trip to Türkiye
I’ve never eaten so many cherries in my life. They were abundant, and we picked tonnes from the trees. The trees looked untouched after we'd got tired and stopped. The second photo are sour cherries, called vişne, which are great for jam and drinks.A shoeshiner in my hometown.
The shoeshine shot has a nice vintage feel to it. Maybe the way you shot the guy posed harks back to another time. Yes cherries, I live near Vignola our cherry capital, and we gorge on them when they are in season.
Two of these were taken locally fairly recently, and one was taken during my fall colors trip last year. Hope everyone is doing well. We are in the heat of summer here in Florida, and it seems hotter than normal this year.
It seems to be the theme this week. Phone cameras have become remarkably good, as this picture shows.
Some random things this week. Always fun to fiddle with the camera. Pat Metheny! That's cool.
The sunset shot easily wins this set. The water front panoramas are nice too.
@NCV has written:Late to the party today. I'm a bit frazzled as I had a day trip down to Naples for work yesterday.
It is incredibly hot here at the moment (35-38) so I am doing very little photography, it is better to stay at home with the AC keeping us cool.
We saw Pat Metheny. No cameras so I just took a couple of phone shots at the end when things got pretty crazy. If you like Jazz this guy is just mind blowing live.
Not bad for a snapshot camera with electronic zoom added to the longest zoom lens, considering I used to do this sort of photography with expensive 2.8 lens back in the day,Pushed Tmax 40film is not much better than these shots.
Correct. I'm constantly wowed by my Pixel 9 Pro. Just listening to some Pat Metheny now. I recognise a few. Very chilled, which makes me wonder how things got crazy at the end.
We've been touching 35° here too.
Metheny is pretty versatile, he ranged from soft pastel pieces, to blistering free stuff (that only works live in my opinion), and lots in between.

The shoeshiner is quite intriguing.
I don't understand that tomb. How is it covered?

These three are really good ones.
The judges at my camera club would tell you to pull up the shadows on this. There is too much pure black in the foreground.

The building has a roof made out of one single block of stone.
The bathtub Sarcophagus probably had an inner coffin of some sort.
