The surface of titanium coated quartz crystal shot at around 5:1 magnification using a Prinzflex 28mm f2.8 m42 lens reversed and coupled onto the front of a 135mm f2.8 Pentacon m42, then on a set of bellows attached to my 5D mkiii. Lit with a couple off camera speed lights. All 3 are at least 15 image stacks processed in Affinity and PS. A bit of a newbie at this extreme macro stuff but I like how these came out.

Interesting. Looks like the surface of an exotic planet!

Thanks, I had stacked one that really looked like(maybe just to me...) an alien mountain range landscape complete with sunset but something went wrong and a dust spot or 2 got duplicated with every layer and left an awful mess I couldn't be bothered to tidy up. Sadly I can't even do a reshoot as I am finding it hard to locate with my naked eye where the features are again being they are so small.

It's a very pleasant combination of shapes and colors. 👍
