    Hello,

First, just wanted to let know that your efforts to revive/sustain DPR community are greatly appreciated around the globe. DPR has been a place with wide international audience, and many have seen benefits in that, while having zero downsides.

However, right now DPRevived seems to be blocking connections from certain parts of the world, like Russia. Not sure if this is the site's policy, or the hosting provider's policy, but can anything be done about it to not block people?
To be clear, there are simple workarounds to this, but I would say information blocks are never a good start, so if DPR can do something about the filtering, it should.

I don't mean to start political/social debate here, so please don't start one with me, too.

I have no idea why that should be so. It might be something to do with the security options we've turned on.

Thanks, good to hear this isn't exactly intended.

Please, when the more pressing matters are addressed, look into options to disable the traffic/IP filtering, if that's indeed part of the security measures taken.

Starting with basic - if you open cmd window (presuming you are on windows, hit Start button, type cmd and hit Enter key) and type there ping dprevived.com, what are first two lines you get?

    Here I get this:

Pinging dprevived.com [185.80.222.84] with 32 bytes of data:
    Reply from 185.80.222.84: bytes=32 time=36ms TTL=52

If your first line does say something 'Ping request could not find host dprevived.com' or shows just different IP address, then your ISP (or some higher authority) just blocks some websites - then you need to use some VPN.
If first line is same, but second lines are kinda Request timed out. or Destination unreachable, then most likely reason is same - but it would be also possible that forum/server side is blocking requests from your country or IP address block or something; then we need to research further. VPN would likely help again.
