These are a few photos I took on the Zig Zag Railway, on the western side of the Blue Mountains near Lithgow in NSW, Australia.

GREAT TO SEE YOUR NAME and a beautiful springtime railway picture from Australia! I have "kind of" migrated over here from DPR due to the forum change. We've been "around the block" (you and I, so to speak) since mid-2023-ish (roughly?) -- looking for a place to land. Hopefully we can stay here for a while. I'm thinking... based on past experience... that YOU will provide some inspiration for me when it comes to seeking-out new train-related shooting opportunities! This is a photo I took at the museum at Thirlmere a couple of years ago.

This is a photo took of Stanier Black 5 44871 on the East Lancashire Railway back in 2010. This is quite a famous loco as it was one of four that hauled the 15 Guinea Special - the last main-line passenger train to be hauled on British Rail by steam locomotive power on 11 August 1968 before the introduction of a steam ban that started the following day. The train travelled from Liverpool Lime Street station to Carlisle via Manchester Victoria and return. It was a special rail tour excursion train organised for the occasion.
