I don't know if this is possible, but on another site I belong to, if your cursor passes over user generated text which is not in your language, a translate option becomes available, if this is clicked the text is translated into your language using DeepL. (It used to use Google translate, but DeepL was thought to be better for longer pieces of writing). That site uses bespoke software, which brings its own issues and implementing something like that may not be possible here. However I have come across a number of threads where posters have apologised for English not being their first language. Easy on page translation could make this site more accessible for more people. I realise that this will be a low priority feature but possibly worth thinking about for the future.

For Firefox, there's an addon called "Firefox Translations". For Chrome (& chrome clones), there's Chrome Translate addon. They may help while we consider whether to do this.

I'll put a post with links into the "useful browser addons" category.

Thanks, I'll look at the add-ons but at the moment I think if posters wrote, in for example French, many may ignore the post. They may be useful for people who want to translate English into their own language.
