Japan, Hokkaido, mid winter. I found the most beautiful snow covered fields with isolated trees around the village of Biei and discovered the minimalist with in me.
This is a beautiful minimalist composition with the trees against snow.
I hope you've printed and framed this image. I would process it to have significantly deeper dark tones.

Thanks Rich.
After driving around the farmland around the village Biei for a full day shooting I have a few shots of different trees some with slightly pp but all in B&W, may post a few more over coming weeks.

to me it looks like two ballet dancers: the one on the left with the left leg straight and almost horizontal, and the other with the right leg bent at the knee.

Very observant of you to see that. I often watch Simon Baxter, he is the only other person that I know that relates trees to humans.
Thanks for looking.
Very nice, almost poignant. Thanks for sharing.
Very nice, snow and deciduous aren't something I see a lot of as we don't have this where I come from so are a bit special. I may post a few more from Japan in the coming days.
