Where is the unsubscribe link hidden?

I believe participation in the forums is entirely optional 😀 If you don't wish to take part don't. There is no subscription fee no advertising emails I don't see the problem you may want to pop back in the future

Just below each thread is a button (next to the Reply one). The choices are 'disabled, subscribe, unsubscribe'.

This is a new button for me. I dont think I would guess what "disabled" means, and I am not able to predict what the three options will do. Are they non-destructive?
Please clarify.

Subscribe with email means you will get an email when someone posts a reply. Unsubscribe means you won't. Don't know about the others, but I will find out.

Completely non-destructive.
Disabled/Empty Star: You’re not receiving notifications about this thread and it doesn’t appear in your Subscribed Threads view. Use Unsubscribe option to return to this state.
Enabled/Half Star: Result of the Subscribe option. This thread appears in your Subscribed Threads view.
Enabled/Full Star: Result of the Subscribe with Email option. You will receive notifications about new activity and the thread appears in your Subscribed Threads view.
