I usually join sites with 'Michael Meissner' (preferred) or 'MichaelMeissner' (secondary). Unfortunately with dprevived.com, I can't chose either. The first has spaces in it and it is too long, and the second is too long. It might be useful to expand the name to longer forms and allow spaces. In addition, I suspect it is probably not friendly to people whose name involves characters not in the standard USA character sets (i.e. with umlats, etc.).
In addition, I updated gravitar.com to know about the email address I created for dprevived.com, but dprevived.com couldn't get the icon. I suspect if I try again in a couple of hours, it may work. As I suspected, an hour or so later, I was able to install my avitar.
I was also surprised that the site did not ask for the password twice. I can imagine missing a character by accident or having a keyboard that duplicates keys when you are typing in the initial password, and then not being able to log in again.
