    Hi.
Does anyone have any experience or thoughts to share about this tripod?
I'm looking for something very light and very compact for a backcountry canoe trip.
The goal is to do some astrophotography.
I have a bigger tripod for other occasions. But for this, I need something small.
The Bluetooth capability is a bonus ... as is the ability to convert the Vanguard VEO 3 GO 235 CB to a monopod.
    Thoughts? Experiences?
    Thanks in advance.

I generally stick with Gitzo and Manfrotto tripods. I have used the floor for years and never had an issue withd stability and durability., I do realize there are many new brands on the market and many of them may be just as good or better than my old standards.

So I look up the model you are referring to and it looks good but of course, I can't see it in person and put it through its paces. I deal with two local photograph deals and neither of them stock that brand.

This is what I would suggest. Click on the link below and give it a read. It mentions the DSLR camer but the informal therein applies to all cameras. Why aaI like the article is that explaining the geometry and basic physics of tripods and explains how to select one based on load, usage, weight, portability, and more. Then you can see if the specifications of the tripod you are considering will work in the shooting environment and situations you are planning. Check out the info on the leg locks, and other mechanical details.

There are lots of myths about tripods. Oftentimes a lighter tripod with a better leg spread and/or center-column construct will outperform a heave model that is not engendered as well.

Sorry, I did not get to your question sooner. I wanted to wait until I went into my deals for supplies- no luck on that make and model.
