I took some short little video snippets of Dragonflies today. I would like to splice some of them together and trim parts. What would be a recommended free video editing software?

Unfortunately it wont let me upload a sample...

    Here is a sample

    P1070782.MP4

    insert_drive_file
    P1070782.MP4

Video mp4, 39.6 MB, uploaded by Bryan on Nov. 7, 2025.

I use Shotcut (www.shotcut.org/) when I am removing ads and splicing together TV shows. Really easy to use

Do you mean upload videos to this forum? We do have a lot of space, but videos are probably a bit over the top.

What's the file extension? I can probably fix that for you.

I've added .mp4 .avi and .mov as filetypes. I'm going to lose internet access in about 10 minutes (house is being rewired and the battery backup only lasts so long), so I wanted to do something quickly.

If you need others, that may have to wait.

OK - I was able to download and see the .mp4 file. I've set the size limit at around 60mb for now. Let me know if you want it increasing (it comes off your total allowance).

    Bryan,

I use MiniTool Movie Maker. moviemaker.minitool.com/

It's free and pretty easy to use.
