    It could be interesting for the members to show up alone or with their favorite camera, so that we can get a better idea.

    Don't be shy, we won't laugh at you.

    When my basement studio was set up for a portrait session a year or two ago, I had my wife snap an "obituary" picture for me.
    Realized there were no recent images of myself that would be appropriate for that purpose.
    As I approach 81 years of age, such things are more top of mind than they used to be.

    @DougH

    Hang in there Doug.

    My 103 year old aunt who has now sadly passed, got very upset with her doctor when he stopped her playing golf at 100
    No kidding.

    Thanks, Marc. I had the camera set up on a tripod and pre-focused. So she simply tripped the shutter when she liked my expression. Not sure I could have explained back button focus to her.
    Although the Nikon D500 is a mirror image in your photo. I certainly recognize it as matching my own camera. I also recognize you from the DPR "Pro Dx" forum. Looks like Bill Ferris from among the regulars there has made it here as well.
    I congratulate you on including some personal information under "Details" in your account. I have done the same because I appreciate knowing something about the background, age or location of the people I am talking to. I wrote about that in a separate thread and got some push-back about that not being a good idea. The internet seems to make some really paranoid -- and perhaps rightly so for all I know. But, like you, I was willing to take the risk.

    Where did you access the "thumbs-up" emoji? When I make a tongue-in-cheek post, I like to add a smiley face so the post is not misinterpreted as being literal. I couldn't locate the emoji's.

    It's quite hard when you need a specific pics and you have not thought before.

    But luck is on my side... I've one while I was kidding a friend!

    ... and yes, even with multi-focus spectacles + the addons I cannot see clearly enough what's on the monitor,
    that's a good reason to get a big lens!!!!
