Beautiful colors, light and clarity. The slight details of the background add a lot to the image, I think.

    THE (FAIRLY) STRAIGHT AND NARROW

In 2011 we decided to travel to Iceland for a hiking vacation.
The idea was to go the volcano that had caused a major air traffic meltdown in 2010.
We wanted to go thank that volcano for having extended our vacation in North-Vietnam with another 10 days, spent in Singapore.
    And unexpected but happy discovery.

So we round up a group of friends, hired a driver and guide and went on our hiking tour.
One day trip had us really hike over the sides of the volcano, where digging just 10 cm into the earth, made us experience the residual heat in the lava ashes.

This is a photo from that hike:
    roelh.zenfolio.com/img/s/v-10/p2867583977-6.jpg

(I can hardly believe that in those days, I carried a backpack and a hip bag with not just my hiking essentials, but also an Olympus E-5 body with grip and extra batteries, three quite heavy lenses and a smaller spare camera body...)

Love the image. The image makes me wonder where the trail goes.

    Well seen and captured.
The thin bright line from the spider's web and the rim light on the stem really does make this shot

I like it a lot and I appreciate both the beautiful sunset, as well as the dinosaur.

However I think they are competing with each other here and I feel like the (gorgeous) sunset is winning, so if I wanted to make the dinosaur the main subject, I would certainly crop that to a landscape format, and if I wanted to show the sunset and scenery, I probably wouldn't include the dinosaur at all. That's just my opinion though while looking at a relatively small image on a screen. It might work great printed big.

I like how the light changes across the curve of the metal and the organized but kinda random pattern.
Don't think I've ever looked at a whisk this way before, but I will now.

It's a wonderful view with lots of intersting tones and nuances! I don't think you need the foreground though. I'd just go for the landscape and emphasize the colors even more:

I stitched to make a pano. 3rd largest existing colosseum. this one is in Croatia.
The Black and White version is my favorite. I wish I had a few more images so the first image in color could have been the final product.

Chris, your nostalgic autumn ritual is a marvelous idea for enjoying Mother Nature's finest season. I think we need the foreground to help understand the scale and distance. However, the shiny wet rocks do distract, IMO. I wonder if you would be able to address that in pp, or do the existing conditions add to your memories of time and place?

This rose has been planted by my 6 years old granddaughter earlier this year and it is blooming now. Interesting that there are different color flowers on the same bush.

They are probably tea roses, since a varietal rose usually has the same color. But there are exceptions. You will thank your granddaughter, it is a wonderful gift.

Very clear reflections in the water. Pretty neat.
Why did you prefer the high ISO over a long shutter?

Autumn in Perthshire , we recently moved house to be nearer our grown up kids, my wife thought it was a good idea 😀 You can just see our old house peeking through the trees. We had a couple of things to pick up and I thought I would take the hounds for a last walk in our old stomping ground.
