A different kind of simple joy image than what I've seen since meeting you. I adore the message and the relative simplicity of the design. Curious about the piece below the longer finger, and whether it's needed for the message or perhaps you wanted for compositional balance?

On my way home recently, I stopped to snap this little country church (now in private hands) and was pleased to find a few Blue Faced Honeyeaters enjoying the new Jacaranda blossoms.

Is there one Australian bird species that isn't spectacularly gorgeous?! Posing inside the lavender tree is just too much beauty. Wonderful! The composition, colors, shadows and textures of the building make this an appealing image also. I don't know if you can straighten the perspective so the building doesn't lean downwards towards the right side; I think it would improve the overall serene feel.

    Canoe

One of the objects on the ArtWalk path in a new urban development in uptown Toronto. Public art program creates a sense of place in its parks, public landscapes, and the towers being build. The ArtWalk will provide a platform for the public to be actively engaged in the appreciation of various artwork, and to explore the vibrant neighourhoods being created.

Sounds like a fantastic project! Are they going to use this great documentary photo in their promos? Looking closely at the canoe and water, I see lots of appeal to abstract photographers.

I'm so glad I took the time to view each image as large as my 13" computer allows. All are spectacular! Intriguing light, shadows and weather, excellent clarity. Of all that breathtaking beauty, #5 is my favorite for the patterns you mentioned, as well as the turning colors of the trees and their position up the ridgeline.

Foggy morning from the New River bridge in Alderson WV, a tiny village of 900 souls that's been here almost 300 years. Not the most dramatic shot from my trip but one I liked because I am a sucker for fog. Alderson was my favorite little town discovered on this adventure.

If this was the location where you tumbled down the hill, it was worth it 😁 Elegant serenity, with MinnieV's touch of glow in processing. The solid areas of near-to-us land forms and the tree-covered hillside are a perfect setting for this delicate tree, holding onto its last few leaves before the next storm. The muted reds and indistinct foggy areas also compliment the tree. A stunning composition!

Ultra-delightful! The title takes the image to a whole other level, though I adore it as-is. The portly gentleman's posture and expression, with cell phone in hand of course! is priceless. It feels like the dog is about to raise its leg against the skeleton as soon as he is satisfied it won't fight back. I think your processing is absolutely perfect for the humor and unique scene.

This required some Googling to learn what is Vopak. I was interested to note an article about Vopak repurposing some tanks in Los Angeles.

Your use of Mount Olympus is fascinating. I feel this image has much to say about the complexities of climate change, business and our future.

An excellent result - love the effect and the crane arm really seems to glow thanks to the sunlight. A really creative image with a perfect tilte. Would make an excellent cover for an LP or something like that and have a great effect as a big print!

What did you do in elements to this image?

In ACR, raised exposure and vibrance. Left in all the noise from under-exposure. In main workspace: adjusted brightness and added a texture called craquelure (from PSE's filter section). Cropped a bit.

The view is from in front of my apartment, where I could see the moon rise over the ridgeline (the red at base). However, most of the "view" is obstructed by evergreen branches or the tops of the trees shown, which have mostly lost their leaves to the season. There are also 10 power/utility wires in my way most of the time. I've not yet figured out how to use them successfully in a composition 😁

Here is one with evergreen branches:
