Absolutely a dream shot. It's great that you have chosen b&w treatment. It's ideal to accentuate the drama unfolding in front of our eyes. Love that capture.

It's one of those perfect captures one can only dream about finding. The colours are brilliant and the water element certainly adds a lot to overall enjoyment of the photo.

There is a sense of mystery in this photo. Green water, followed by murky dark one and finally a boat full of people, all lit up at night and all against far away shore. Great capture.

Old Mill at Babcock State Park in West Virginia, 2 weeks ago. The lady whose house we stayed in when I took last week's submission suggested we go by this little state park and I was glad she did. Apparently it's well liked by photographers. I've never seen more cameras per capita at a state park anywhere.

I couldn't find anything to say about your scene with fog last week but this one is a gem. Beautifully varied fall colours, classic old mill (how I would love to acquire one of those and renovate it), the creek and rocks, heaps to explore with very good detail / focus, a person hiding on the rocks behind some foliage. If that was mine I would be off to the print shop for a big wall hanging.
    Excellent find and capture.

I really like this photo. Composition, light, color... it's very good.
I tried cropping below the sky in the top left corner and I think that would make it even more immersive (not sure if "immersive" is the right term but what I mean is that it makes me feel inside the picture).

You should put this into the photo of the week competition...

When I was shooting these, I really thought I had something. I've seen so many images of this canal I though I would get something similar. What should I have done different?

Both are excellent, but given the choice I would vote for #2. Different point of view, more light and the bridge has different supports. Too bad about shadows, but they could be easily removed. Great impression with this tunnel vision...

I like that haze and reflection and colours.
Also, the beams of light add so much more interest.
    Well seen and captured.

I'll bite, although others may have a better opinion.
The first would have been better a few minutes earlier or later so the sun wasn't reflecting off the water.
The second seems over exposed. Reducing highlights and lifting shadows about half that may help. However raising contrast and saturation seems to reduce highlights a bit and may give some pop / definition to the rock faces (as long as you don't overdo the greenery). Then reduce highlights as needed. Others more skilled in these dark arts would be able to apply effects to selected areas.
[edit] I don't know if you would be allowed access to that old rusty bridge, but a shot from there including the arched bridge might look ok.

Very nice composition worth framing and putting on display .. but .. for some reason that little bit of sky in the upper left bothers me annd I would crop down just that little .. but then ....

I like the image and have no critique .. as a subjective idea I would probably have added a bit more clarity to define the cloud bank a little more ... but that's just me ..

I don‘t think I can add anything of value in terms of feedback but let me re-emphasize what others said: It‘s a wonderful shot, very beautiful and well done! Bravo!
