This is a beautiful architectural/cultural history image and I recognize the place, having rambled across Malta myself (I'd love to go back and explore even more). Fascinating place. The image has wonderful shapes/lines/balance. The monochrome conversion is perfect. But what makes it even more magical is that bird, providing counterweight to the large elaborate dome structure. Lovely frame worthy image.

This is beautiful and posting it for Christmas week makes us draw the comparison to a bank of candles all alight. I'm not altogether sold on the purplish bokeh ball with the faint lines in the middle, but that may be because I don't do the creative lens work you do with all those old lenses, and it feels less familiar to me. Still, beautifully captured and presented.

What a lovely set! I am a big fan of antique decorations, and though I don't have any as exquisite as these, I try (and fail) every year to do something this nice with them. Yours conveys peace, quiet, serenity, beauty, history. I think part of your success is your skill in the capture of the candlelight (which I am not brave enough for), and of course your compositions are lovely too. The rich warm colors don't hurt. A beautiful reminder of the holiday season, from which you can create Christmas cards in the future.

Lovely minimalist renditions of California poppies. I like the first best, for its lovely symmetry. If I were printing as a diptych I might crop the first a bit tighter but that's just me. Color and detail are gorgeous in both.

You know I always fall for the blues and oranges mixed in abstracts, and the addition of blacks don't hurt it. I do think I would crop a bit off the bottom so the darks don't weight it down so much. Lovely, enigmatic swirly shapes.

The story is as interesting as the two colored eyes. The owner, judging by the blur of the hand, seems to be petting the dog, and the dog is lying peacefully at her feet, almost lulled to sleep by her touch. It is an endearing street image that captures a relationship. The one tiny gold leaf breaks up the monotony of the concrete walkway. Excellent catch.

This made me smile since I imagined you taking these while chauffeuring a carload of excited grandchildren through a busy queue. (yes I tried a similar display last year). I must say you did far better in capturing the lights than I did.
