Good catch. Did you run away after taking the shot?

Like the shape and colour. Reminds me about amber.

A wonderful image with a wealth of story embedded. Composition with the two similar (but not same) archways offering a choice of routes upward and routes below is visually and thematically engaging. The two human figures are also engaging, in part because of their strong story, in part because of their interesting garb, in part because the flare forces them forward into our consciousness even though they are small comparatively, and in distinct. They have chosen to move into the above ground light via the ancient stairway, leaving behind the convoluted nesting archways that lead into the below ground distance. Great choice of processing, enhancing the sense of timelessness. I can imagine whole stories or books or poems or songs that could be illustrated with this image. Excellent work.

A surreal image and very engaging. It feels like an abstract despite the presence of a recognizable human proceeding through the scene, as if suspended midair. Most of the lines all lead us to her or frame her for us or outline doors she might go through. Though your photo is as different from Roel's as photos might be, they both place humans in the position of choosing entrances into some unknown.

These are extraordinarily beautiful images, idyllic scenes worthy of oil paintings by the old landscape masters who loved such scenes and lighting as this. There are powerful compositional lines: X's, hooks, V's, waves, overlapping to enhance depth in the scene. The distance showers/mist adds even more. The colors are rich without being intense. These are just lovely.

Sharply detailed, appealing colors. These frame filling and unusual flowers are fun to look at. There's a little spot about 1/3 the way across the bottom of the second one that has some speckledy stuff you might want to take a second look at, but overall the background foliage is well handled.

Lovely peaceful portrait chock full of well-aligned compositional curves that enhance each other. Well done.

I love this kind of found-composition made up of ordinary things. A metal chair, some fall leaves, some shadows. Permanence vs impermanence, with subdued colors and contrasting textures. Also the opportunity to mull over symbols - the bars suggest confinement, the shriveled leaves suggest the end of life. Lots to think about inside this one.

An unusual choice for a portraiture subject but indeed you have done it a favor by capturing this well, with all its intricate details. It tells a story of its own travels and travails - the scars and cracks of a life lived unprotected, and in a way representative for any life shaped by forces outside itself. Nicely done.

Nice fall colors in a well captured public outdoor cafe scene.
