Fascinating site to photograph. The architecture is convincing - almost, but with a touch of Disney or MGM or whatever. The lines tend to be more graphic and geometric than "real" buildings, creating interesting opportunities like you've taken advantage of here, complimented by extremes of light and shadow. Well done series.

That's quite a formidable rooster, I would be reluctant to get too near him. His ragged tail and comb look like they've been through many a turf battle, and the color of his comb is more than a little creepy. The feet are pretty scary things, and are well suited for display near the row of rail latches which seem to be of similar construction.

Quite a nice rainy day street photo. Your positioning is pretty much perfect to make an eloquent composition from the reflections. There is both a sense of movement and stillness. Nicely done.

I admire your flowers but not a fan of this background for them. Grays, whites, pale pastels or earthtones, even subtle textures might lend a more appealing look, but the bright cyan does not work for me.

These are interesting, a monochrome version of Google Earth offerings. Numbers 2 and 5 are my favorites and I'd happily enjoy them as screensavers. Curious what they look like in color, but they're pretty good in black and white with the contrast they present.

What a cool set (cool in more ways than one!). The graphic design in the composition of the first makes it jump out at me, and the warm colors embedded in the interestingly textured icicles in the last one are a close rival. Both utilize the best of complementary colors - blue and orange - to really grab visual attention. The filigreed ice on the screen in the second one is quite nice too, but I think I would probably try a bit of straightening (might be more of a hassle than it looks like though).

Nice city scene with a great sky to cap it off. Looks like there's plenty of almost cinematic detail even in the shadows. I know you said you'd already done a lot of pushing and pulling with the challenging lighting but I think I'd be tempted to get it to give even more in those darkest shadowed areas.

    Dear all,
Lots of good entries this week.
I have thoughts by a number of them (mainly the series of B&W images).
    Really good work!

But I am a bit under the weather so concentrating on a screen gives me a headache.
I might not comment anymore today.
I hope to be better tomorrow and will certainly start the new edition.

I wrote a similar note to this a couple of days ago but I must have forgotten to hit the "Post reply after. It didn't appear. here.
Thanks minniev. I hadn't noticed the similarity of the claws to the rail lathches. Duhhh!!!!!
Your catch makes this a far better photo than I thought I had taken.
Out of curiosity, had anyone else picked up on this and simply assumed it was intended on my part?
