He is a charming little fellow. I would figure someone put a left-behind hat on him and it made him even more charming. I like the way the pennies reflect on the polished sculpted surface.

But after Roel's comment, I can't look at it without thinking of the "art piece" he's referring to...

This is gorgeous. The capture is wonderful with rich delicious colors and tones. Excellent composition with the thin edge of the bowl providing a light line to encircle the subject. The glow in this one makes it magical. It's one I'd love to have a framed print of.

I really enjoyed this series and associated text. The people are really embedded in their landscape and although we normally focus on people when we see them, the rocks are so prominent that they compete intensely for attention.
In the first the figure is barely discernible in the shadows of the dawn light. In the second they are up close, seeking shelter from wind and/or sun and in the third they rocks surround them and become characters themselves. The faces are obscured by shadows or protective scarves in all but the second photo, and even in that the beard, sunglasses and headgear disguise the expressive features, giving everyone a mysterious presence.
Of course, the light is great too, and adds its own spice to this tasty dish.

    My thoughts too!
I must admit that seeing the „artwork“ in my mind‘s eye, I much prefer the reflected light from the coins to a sharpy scrawl.

Well done for making such an eye-catching feature of something which is usually politely ignored. You even bathed it in a golden shower of light.
It seems to be the most important thing in the whole place, and, of course, often it is.

I like Roel’s idea of cropping to leave the doorway as a sleeve. It would still leave the interplay between the circles and straight lines and the bright shiny and the dark shadowy.
The CD depicted by the sculpture is itself almost a thing of the past and the sculpture one of the last of its kind, as I believe artists will find it hard to sculpt digital streams! (But then, I am not a sculptor.)

As you say in the title, the colours are vivid, but they work well.
I like the arrangement within the bowl, seemingly random, but I expect a trained eye helped with the chaos a bit. The bowl contains the harvest, but doesn’t restrain it, and the stalks reach out to the patterned cloth, mimicking its patterns in the process.
The whole thing is nicely lit too, with gentle natural light.

You can leave your hats on, Minnie! Although I was aware of all three, I only watched the two on the left and really concentrated on getting the woman centralised in the doorway. So the pose of the person on the right was luck rather than judgement.

That’s an interesting point, which hadn’t occurred to me.

Yes, it was each person out in the big city, but isolated in their own boxes, which occurred to me, when I saw the photo. But not at the time of taking it, when I was more interested in the wonderful doorway and trying to compose passers-by within it in an interesting way.

Yes, I think it is a thing with big cities. Berlin has a similar reputation. Obviously it is a cliche, albeit with a certain amount of supporting evidence. Actually I didn’t experience any rudeness. Even the neighbours at an outside table asked if they could smoke, and then another cliche, English politeness, took over and I said “Yes” without thinking through the consequences! They doused their cigarettes when our food arrived, and reached for their cigarettes and lighters, like synchronised swimmers, as soon as my empty fork hit the plate, having delivered the last mouthful of food!

Again some interesting points, which I had not identified in such detail myself.

Yes that glow is superb. Like a setting Sun, but an Apple setting.

I've enjoyed this discussion. It has "developed" with a variety of viewpoints building the appreciation of the image. It's what I like about Photography, and art in general. With my own photos, sometimes I see the possibilities in a moment as I shoot it. Sometimes I see more in the image when I look later at the result. Regularly I find others find meaning beyond what I intended. It's all part of the pleasure of art.
