Weekend with our Grandson

This past weekend our grandson came to visit. He's 6 1/2 and very active!
We went to 3 different parks with equipment for kids to climb and play, this one was his favorite.

And he had it pretty much to himself.

He also learned to ride a 2 wheeler about 3 weeks ago and he's gotten really good at it. We took a number of rides around the neighborhood.

And even took him to a nearby bike trail where he rode 6 miles! (Sorry - phone photo)

It was hot, and I'd bought a slip 'n slide for him which was a big hit.
He didn't want to do it alone though, so, An Old Fool joined him. (This should take you to a video my wife recorded on her iPad). Boy am I sore! Playing like a 6 year old is a bit foolish at my age!

Great pictures, Jim. 6 miles ! I get tired pedaling my Kia half that.

I like the video, but you almost squashed your grandson. Every old man should have a slip and slide....though most just have the slip. 🧑‍🦽 Rich

Yep - and he loved it!

We asked if he played as much when he visited his other grandparents. He said, "No, they're too old to play". Fact is they are 10 years younger than us!

Great to see Jim and great that he thinks you are not too old to play! Slip and slide, wow!!!!

Watching Simon and Garfunkel from 13 years ago. I feel young looking at them! Just finished watching Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty from four years ago. She looks young and Tom was still alive.

That video was too funny! Maybe, even though I don't have grandchildren, I'll get a Slip'n'Slide this summer 😸 It sure looks like a lot of fun!
As for too old? -- age is only a number and you're only as old as you choose to be. Well, of course there are those pesky physical problems . . .
