    Truman,

Thanks. The softness was the result of probably both - shaky hands and that it's an old oil painting - has survived many moves over the years 😀

I darkened it up in post - too much I realized later.

I like the smoke coming out of the chimney. I thought that was a nice touch by the artist.

Nice alignment of image elements. This is a nice minimalist abstraction. The fact the window glass is not clear adds to the interest - ah la a trick often used by Minor White. The sun's location re the window and kettle adds a stress point and interest to the image. Nicely done.

I particularly like this one. Snow scenes can be particularly tricky and you nailed the exposure on this one. The tonal gradations on this are smooth. That lens really has nice rendering of out of focus areas.

Thank you. That one definitely got some work on the snow in front of the car and that little spot on the hood.

I wondered how this camera/lens combination (50mm prime) would handle snow.
As you can tell, it's a gray day.
I tried this at an f/5.6 aperture.
I didn't mess with the exposure in post, but I may have sharpened it up a little.

This is an old house in Berrima, a town in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales. I believe that originally it was the owned by the local Magistrate.

Like the last one this is nicely seen and nicely executed with the subtile textures of the blocks contrasting with the course texture of the roof. You must have some really nice examples of old buildings at your disposal. 😉

Agree, and I would add the presence of the shadow of the tree integrating into the building...

A few black and whites from Bodie Ghost Town/State Park. Used Apple Photos and Nitro plug-in to edit these. All three started out as color and changed to Acros preset in Nitro before tweaking some more from there.

An interesting composition, and a detail that looks good seeing it at a good size...

Hi Steve, really cool scene. I think it allows for a little more contrast...

She's stood here for a hundred years.
    This isn't her first winter.
And it won't be her last.
