Man you had me with the first line - then I read the rest. My condelances. Nice handling of the reflections off the care giving a nice smooth tonality.

I like the original (first one) as tells better the story of a gloomy depressing day. How you treat this image is determined by the story you are trying to tell.

    I liked it.

If you crop out the power lines and that bigger hump on the right, you get a nice long exposure shot of that centralized bench overlooking a pretty bay.

I quite like the power lines being there. It adds to the gritty, depressing scene. But I will try without and see what happens. Here you are.

I dont find this any improvement.

    Alan,

    I'm sorry.

As Truman said, every picture tells a story.

I thought you sounded depressed, and I was just trying to cheer you up, but by doing so, I intruded myself into your picture.

    I shouldn't have done that.

    I apologize.

I agree. But I was asked to produce one without the power lines, so I did.

No apology needed. I wasn't (and am still not) depressed. It's just a photograph.

    Dear NY show 1.jpg

I saw mention of the "Dear New York," somewhere and that is was being held in Grand Central Station ... went there to see and took some pics but I was getting tired (not from the show .. my physical body) and couldn't stay too much longer and then the sun poked through the ceiling and I hung around a bit longer ... a shot of someone getting their shot

Nice, and nostalgic. I lived near there in the early fifties before it was roped off and that tunnel dug under the road ...

I don't get outside to take pictures any more but, here in Texas, I always included overhead power lines and "bob wahr" fences because this is Texas, dammit.

I'm afraid I wasn't good enough... or bad enough 😁
