    I find it mesmerising!
An impressionistic capture of the rainy weather vibe: as if the droplets of water on the glass make up a snapshot of the downpour beyond - could it be a poetic image of slowing down, capturing the time itself?....if it were a weekend I'd have reached for Dostoevsky; if work hours, an occasional glance through shall cool down & help shaping my thoughts better.
Long story short - I'd stay inside too. =)

Whereas I’d be donning my oilskins, downeaster, and wellies. I’m not made of sugar. (Rules 9 and 5 apply.)

Jacob, these are all good but this sunset deserves a large print and a prominent place in your house or wherever you want to put it.

In our part of the world - Oz/NZ - with its soft dirt we usually do not allow riding in the rain to prevent eroding MTB singletrack - purpose-built by us, mountain bikers.....often in the rain.

Oh.. and how about Rule 43?

Yeah, bicycles seem to be deeply rooted in Italian culture with its first known design found in manuscripts of great Leonardo!
Here is another one I could not resist to saddle up by a small restaurant in Marina di Pisa a previous winter - after an unfriendly remark made by a local Mafioso character, who is BTW not made of sugar also.. like some of us here. =)

Thanks Bob! Glad you liked it. It is a difficult spot to shoot from; it is very wet behind the waterfall and you have to constantly wipe the water off the lens...
I hope that you have recovered from your cold. It is a bummer when it happens to you on a trip like this (happened to me more than once...)

We have the same rules here —but there’s plenty of gravel. Not to mention non-cycling opportunities.

Thanks. Finally getting better, I think! Hopefully the echo chamber stops soon and my chest doesn't feel like garbage.

I shoot Nikon these days, but really enjoy this thread. The different structure of the forums here at dprevived makes me more likely to visit it, than previously at dpreview. Nice work folks - some terrific images this week!

FWIW, I still have considerable affection for my prior X-E2 & the brilliant Fujinon lenses… which are still used by nieces & nephews to this day.

    Scaligero Castle in Sermione

It was wet. I've posted views and the bicycle. Thought I'd post the facade. It is totally empty but they charge to go in and explore. Love medieval castles!!!! Craft a European trip focusing on castles and I'll be first in line!!

Maria Malibran from La Scala Museum

Nothing too special from a photographic perspective....just historical. A lot of paintings and busts in the Museum. There were so many people it was difficult to get images of almost anything. However I was able to bond with Maria who, according to sources, was a Spanish singer and allegedly the best known opera singer of the 19th Century. I'll pick something a little more special for the beginning image for next week.
