More pictures from Iceland
1) Lomagnupur mountain is a huge rock on the South Coast, known for being one of the most recognizable mountains in Iceland.
2) A variety of foregrounds around the mountain contribute to making Lomagnupur a very desirable location for landscape photography
3) Fossalar river and waterfall are located in South Iceland. A series of cascades and its surroundings make it a popular stop for photographers
4) Fjadragljufur canyon (try to pronounce this...). When the glacier retreated, a lake formed in the valley behind a hard resistant rock. The runoff from the lake flowed to where Fjadragljufur is today, and erosion did the work
5) The most distinguishing feature of Seljalandsfoss is a pathway that stretches around it including the area behind the waterfall. Raingear is required to walk along the pathwayThanks for looking!

Two tight crops of the great horned owlets who were sitting on the top of the hollowed out tree that's there nest.
Nicely done Morris! the owlets look very cuddly.

You in the US?
I love the colors. Great eye. And, on a T2! I love our camera. It’s amazing.
Just outside of St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada.

I am guessing here that you are addressing me...with this format it is not always clear; perhaps it is better to use "Quote" or paste in some text for context?
If my guess is correct thank you for your kind comments Lewiedude! I agree that it is a great camera; I have definitely not reached its full potential; I have two of them so I don't have to swap lenses on a trip.

Excellent set Bob. It is a delight to see flowers again. We seem to be having a drought after some late winter rain. I watered my garden the other day.
I ran the slide show and it made me think the BIF was yours.
Morris
Thanks, Morris. It seems when it is especially wet out west the east is drier and vice versa. At least we have a little more water for the next drought.
Bob
One must watch out for what they wish for. We had heavy T-Storms yesterday with some flooding.

Morris
Thanks. Not sure what you mean by stream bed. We can see two neolithic - age tombs in the foreground.
I could see this being an glacial outwash.
Morris
I see. But no, it is simply the effect of erosion on the boulders that led to the formation of the granite pinnacle.
The erosion indicates the flow of water which is where I started.

Thank you Jim

Great Horned Owl at Sunset
This is the mother of the owlets I've been photographing. She is about 100 feet up and the tree she is in about 50 feet from the nest. Seeing her glowing red in the sunset light was very special.
