Next Wednesday 5th July, Fuji will be at Wex in Manchester showing off the new x-s20 and the 8mm lens. I'll be there sometime in the morning. Anyone else going?

Well, I went down today and had a good play with the X-S20. I don't think I want one. It's got three issues (for me):
Since I now have two X-T5's, I really don't need a third one. I would have considered it if it had been a lot smaller.
I also chatted for a while to the fuji rep (Carol - lovely lady) about the focussing issue that has been occupyling the DPReview threads recently. I showed her the issue and she was able to reproduce it on her X-T5. So, she said she would take it forward - but no promises on a quick resolution.
All in all, a nice trip out - and I bought the 1.4 WR tele converter while I was there. Seemed a shame to go away empty handed.

Thanks for the report about the X-S20. I have the X-T5 paired with the X-E4 and have wondered a bit whether the X-S20 could replace one or the other. I like the shallow grip of the X-T5 (even with large lenses) and its wonderful shutter sound of the X-T5. The X-E4 has a pleasant shutter, too, and I like the compact design, especially with a half-case that provides a modest grip. I think they're both safe from any sort of replacement or addition.
At least you got into the ear of a Fuji Rep. At the beginning of the "X" series cams and forward Fuji was great with software fixes, updates, etc. Less so seemingly in the recent past.
Thanks,
Bob
