Many thanks to the first responders, it's fun to see his cameras from another era.
I had my period or I tripled on Folding cameras. 😜

Inherited an Agfa Billy and a Brownie box cam, but haven't used them. Oldest camera used is Nikon FM, and what a gem it is.

    One of my many folders.

When I used to work in a camera store, our customers would come in at certain times of the year, like May or June when it was graduation time, or other special occasions, and they would buy film from us for cameras like this (we stocked all the old oddball sizes like 118, the old 126 and others) and ask me to load it for them. I just loved handling these old, elegant cameras. They were such beautiful machines.

This took 122 film (3.25 x 5.5), production of which ended I believe in 1970. But I have adapters so I can use 120..
It's lovely and still a usable camera.

The Kershaw Penguin lens/shutter/aperture unit looks like it could be unscrewed from inside the bellows. Is it possible to replace these units with a modern lens/shutter and create a high quality 6x9 out of the old folder cameras?

    Hi,

Now we need a shot of that Kodak on the left alongside a 760c. See if that 760 is truly as large as it seems it is....

I am not a collector of old cameras, so the only cameras I have are ones that I purchased to use. The oldest is an Exakta Varex IIa from 1960, which was built like a tank, but remarkably versatile.

PXL_20230515_080724680.jpgThis is the oldest one I currently own, though I am unsure who produced it. From my understanding it's from early 1900. Perhaps someone might recognize it?

I think my oldest is my Vest pocket kodak autographic, which predates the introduction of crackle paint finish in 1919. I'm not exactly sure of it's age but it won't be long before, as the autographic models were introduced in 1915.
My Kodak No2 folding autographic brownie is only slightly younger from the 1920's, while most of my other brownies seen to be models from the 1930's even where the design goes back to ~1900.

David, not sure if your post really is meant for me, but my oldest is a Folding Pocket Kodak 3A which doesn't seem to have a lens that just unscrews. No idea about the Kershaw as I don't have one.

    Hi,

    Wow! Thanks!

The only time I have seen a F5 based Kodak look small. ;)

Even my Pentax 6x7 is a bit smaller, and that 6x7 is a large SLR.

Yes! I want a digital variant of the old Kodak. That'd be really cool!

Adding a small digital point & shoot into an old folder wouldn't be an impossible DIY task, but I don't think I could do it well enough to do the project justice.
