Out of the five lenses I currently own, Vivitar 8mm fisheye, Sigma Art 14-24mm f2.8, Sigma Art 40mm f1.4, Sigma Art 105mm f1.4, and the Sigma Sport 120-300mm f2.8, mine is my Sigma Sport 120-300mm f2.8. It stays glued to my D5 and is the first thing I grab when I'm headed out the door if a camera is going with me.

I have 4 Sigma lenses for Canon EF which I find are all superb for my usage but my favorite is probably the 24-105 F/4 Art as it is a great walk around FL. Against the Canon equivalents - I compared to both versions - I found the Sigma to be sharper and the focus seemed to me to be just as accurate and close to being as quick once calibrated. I like the Sigma colors and contrast better also.

Sigma 18-35 1.8 (Nikon APSC). Wish they would make a new for Sony :-)

If only you could slip it into your back pocket.
Over time weight becomes a more important factor. 😩

    Hi,

I only have a few 3rd party lenses, all for Nikon F mount (none for Pentax 645). And the hands down favorite is a Sigma 105mm macro which is an older AFD type. I like it better than the two Nikon 105mm macros I have.

I own a bunch of glass both native and 3rd party. My favorite 3rd party lens is probably the one I use the most; 8mm Rokinon (Samyang) fisheye.

"Circular" distortion is fairly low perhaps because I use it on my apsc crop sensor body. Additional cropping if needed often yields images with virtually no distortion.

It's a small, sharp, fast f/2.8, handy lens.

My favorite of all my third party lenses is my Tamron 70-200mm 2.8 G2. Just an absolute beauty of a lens.

It was my 7Artisans 35mm f1.2. Perfect for arty shots at the cafe or pub. It did creative things in low light or when shooting fall foliage. It never failed to put a smile on my face.
I'm using the past tense because it was stolen a couple of weeks ago.
I have decided to try the Pergear 35mm f1.2 (got a deal). It's supposed to be better.
But the 7Artisans was smaller and the design (version one) was unusual.
Yup, I miss it and may end up buying another if the Pergear version is too big or too conventional in looks and results.

Absolutely agree. Once AF fine tuned, this lens is stellar. The 24-70 G2 is no slouch either.

I bought a Tamron 35-150 f/2-f/2.8 zoom for indoor kids events, and then had to buy a third party Sony camera body to use it. That was a little over a year ago. Couldn't be happier...except for the size and weight. Since that initial Tamron purchase, I've added the 28-75 G2 (to save some weight and size) and a 150-500, but neither sees much use, as I like the 35-150 so much that I now happily suffer the weight and size. And I use m43 for long lens shoots anyway.

Just got the 35-150 yesterday. Shot a few padeI tennis matches (with a9) and I was surprised. It's fast, sharp and with ISO 3200 all the way produced many good shots in a slightly dim building. A little heavy but that 's forgettable. Reminds me a bit of the Sigma 18-35 1.8 in build and picture quality so seems I'll have a lot of fun with it.
