Hard to believe where this year has gone; it will be winter in just over a weeks time. But the beach is still popular.
This is Coolum beach.
Looking north from Wilkinsons park towards Noosa.
Looking south towards Point Arkwright. Not much on offer for the surfers.
The sea temperature is 22°C today, the same as the air temperature.

Looks pretty nice Dicky! That water temperature is likely not far off as warm as Lake Erie gets in summer, if there is wind to create waves. It is shallow near the shore and many places and can get warmer if there is not wind to bring in the colder water from a short distance off shore. In the past I would have been in the pool at 22 C but my wife insisted on a pool heater about ten years ago and it has not seen 22 C since, while in operation. No sharks though!

Looking good Dicky .... Temperature seems about right When young we went to Lake Michigan in early June when it would be about 15-16C quite a shock ..down around Gulf Shores the water will be 27C and very salty ... like taking a bath .. so I would rather swim where you are as winter approaches ... Nice beaches ..

Thank you WN. The shallows on the sand flats do get like bath water and it is a great shock to the system when you duck dive into the deeper water.

Dont complain ...
... here at the foot of the Italian Alps, we got 10° yesterday morning and 11° this morning.
While raining all day long for 3days in a row without a pause the temperature stayed under 13°
Hopefully, we will have some rest tomorrow, not sure of it.
And 400km east, in the Parmesan area, everything is flooded - an emergency rescue is running
(10 million people in that area )
Yeah, and your winter will be as our spring! Poor you. 😛
Lovely beaches! Like the last the best. The colour of the water makes it look very tempting.
