I used the JJC remote release on the XH1. Looking at the XH2 it looks like the only comparable female port for this release is the fabled "MIC" for microphone.

So my question is what wireless remote releases do people recommend for the XH2?

    Thanks

Interesting question. Since the countdown timer is very useful to me for tripod shots and I use the Fuji APP sometimes for remote release I have not thought about a cable release. I hope someone chimes in because I'd like to know as well.

I use the phone app which I find to be reliable for shutter release via Bluetooth. (X-S10 and X100V.) Things don’t get wonky until a WiFi connection is required.

    Edit to add:
I just now noticed that the OP is Truman. We’ve been down this path before. I recall that you’ve had issues with BT in the past. Not trying to beat a dead horse here.

The JJC worked fine for the H1. Interestingly enough I found the port on the H2 after I posted - after I gave up in frustration. It is on the opposite side of the camera behind the small door all by its lonesome which was not obvious. I got the JJC working once I found the correct port. Back when my wife first started to set up the camera on a tripod focused on her bird houses, I suggested the Fuji App. That turned out to be an absolute disaster because the Fuji App is an absolute disaster. The more shots she missed because the app went to sleep or disconnected, you name it, the more it became "my fault." The JJC worked fine. It's got a few warts mostly using batteries you can't find in the wild.

But Fuji did a great job trying to hid that connector. Moving it on the other side on the XH2 vs. all the Gen 4 cameras behind a little door that was not obvious. On the other hand the JJC is a little fiddley - it would be nice if there were other options to consider.

Good to know and thanks for finding it. Will be useful for Fireworks and Lightning.

Have you found the port on the right hand side of the camera? Apologies if so, but it took me ages to find it.

I eventually did. However, a pretty dumb place to put it since one has to put the receiver on backwards or wrap the cord around from the left side to the right.
