Lots of weird stuff out there, for example Jimmy Carter who died recently, was JFK who was assassinated 61 years ago with Photographic evidence of their similarities.

Rosalyn Carter - Jackie Kennedy. Who knows…

How alike or unalike can people be, there are doppelgängers in the world.

Are you attempting to start a discussion on Merican politics, or are you just another conspiracy theorist?

    ————

Edit: Just for giggles, I ran your posting through Google AI.

Jimmy Carter died on December 29, 2024, at the age of 100
John F. Kennedy was assassinated on November 22, 1963. The notion that they or their wives were doppelgängers is a conspiracy theory and a common cultural phenomenon related to how people can appear alike, a concept often referred to as a "doppelgänger"

    Facts vs. the "Doppelgänger" Theory.
    • Jimmy Carter's Passing: Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter passed away on December 29, 2024, in Plains, Georgia. He lived to be 100 years old, the longest-lived U.S. president in history.

    • JFK's Assassination: President John F. Kennedy was assassinated over 61 years ago, in 1963, in Dallas, Texas.

    • Rosalynn Carter and Jackie Kennedy: Rosalynn Carter, Jimmy Carter's wife of 77 years, died in November 2023 at the age of 96. There is no factual basis for the idea that she and Jackie Kennedy were doppelgängers, beyond the general phenomenon of people having similar appearances.

    • The Theory: The user mentions a specific conspiracy theory (or a related internet meme) that suggests Jimmy Carter was somehow a "second life" or lookalike of a younger JFK following his "assassination". Such theories are widely dismissed and have no basis in reality, with search results noting the suggestion as "goofy".

    The Phenomenon of Doppelgängers.
You are correct that there are many people in the world who look alike. This is a real phenomenon, although the term "doppelgänger" originates from German folklore, where it referred to a "supernatural double" of a living person, often seen as a bad omen.

In reality, with a global population of billions, it is statistically probable for individuals to share very similar facial features and physical characteristics, even without being related. This has led to the common cultural experience of encountering "twin strangers". However, the scientific explanation differs from the mystical or conspiratorial suggestions of the user's premise regarding the Carters and Kennedys.

I’m a bit of a Conspiracy Theorist. I don’t really understand American Politics, most Politics that well.

I don't understand Misplaced Posts. I tried not to but it gets misplaced?

I thought this was going to be a thread about Mr Epstein's photo album, featuring the rich and famous having fun at his parties.

Did Mick Jagger get up and sing Sympathy for the Devil, when he got an invite?

By coincidence, my daughter sent me a snap of a doppelganger of myself this week.

    Follow the money.

You need to select proper (sub)category before hitting "Start thread" in editor. Easiest is to navigate into right forum and start new thread there - this way it will be saved into correct place.
If you start new thread on main page and do not select correct forum, then your thread lands into misplaced ones. Technically the "Misplaced posts" is the first category/forum, where users can start new threads.

The context is of seemingly identical or near identical unrelated people who do exist. I have never met my doppelgänger.

To be protographed or seen with one I probably cannot tell them apart.

There was a story of the Mendezes. Tony and Jonna Mendez, during Carter’s Presidency when there was the Iranian Hostage Crisis.

@wklee, do you have access to Dumpster here? If not, then pretty soon you can't see this thread here :(

I’m not sure. How do I check.

Last category on forums home page. If you see 'industrial news', then bad for you (no access).

What all this means - we attempt to keep us as a photography site. In your current thread at least I do not see anything relevant to photography; if you continue this way, then this thread will be sent into dumpster. This is not 'suppressing the free speech' - dumpster access is free for everyone, one just has to ask Alan.

Right at the bottom I see Industry New.

Jonna Mendez with her Husband Tony. His work was made into the Movie Argo, about the Iranian Hostage Crisis, which happened during Carter’s Administration.

In the Category of Photography, there used to be the Minox, they made sub miniature Cameras. I don’t recall other brands, only Minox, they were part of Leica.

The rain had been falling like a bad alibi all night, slicking the streets and washing the sins off the sidewalks. I was nursing a lukewarm coffee in the Hill Street precinct when they brought in Ted Malone — a wiry old cuss with a beard like a busted mop and eyes that had seen too many truths. They said he’d been found loitering near the old warehouse on Sycamore, the one with the busted lock and the bloodstained ledger. A .38 lay cooling in the alley, still warm enough to whisper secrets, and Ted had the kind of silence that made you wonder what he wasn’t saying. He claimed he was just feeding the alley cats, but the cats weren’t talking and neither was the gun. The lieutenant didn’t buy it, but I’d seen enough men framed by circumstance and cheap bourbon to know when a story had legs. Ted’s did — they just happened to be walking in circles. We booked him for trespassing and suspicion, but something told me the real crime was still out there, wearing a smile and a clean shirt.

Commercially, with the Tom Cruise Mission Impossible Movies and maybe other Movies, they appear to come out like CIA Disguises.
