Hi,
I have an fp, and hope to add an fp-L soon, and maybe a more all-round Panasonic S5II or what is available at that future time less video-centered (one can hope for an S5r with higher resolution, no fan, better evf resolution, who knows...).
In the meantime, I went back to raw shooting after several years of shallow jpg-family-holiday shooting.
I used to use LR (old version 5 or something like that). I see that I can import DNG from the fp, and treat it, but none of my lenses (all Sigma Contemporary DG DN I serie) are supported for correction, nor the camera is.
I tried a bit Sigma Photo Pro, but am not sure how much of the workflow I can do in it, nor if it is good, better, worse than let's say Adobe Camera Raw in the latest Lightroom Classic. I hate the subscription model, but am much fond of Lightroom workflow, tools (at least the one in the old version I have) and UI.
I bought Affinity when it was half price, but never clicked with it. I don't catch the Personas stuff, and am not a huge fan of the interface... But at that time I wanted to test their astrophotographers stacking function.
And at last, my questions ;-):
What is according to you the best way to treat the DNG raws of the Sigma fp and fp-L?
Is it worth to subscribe to LR/PS 20Go currently?
Would it be better to use SPP to convert raws to 16bit tiff, then work this out in LRC, or ACR in LRC is perfect for this too?
Thank you for your insights on this, I know it's a broad topic, nethertheless, I'm a bit in search of where to turn myself for my workflow, so any idea is good to hear :-)
