Yesterday I noticed a bug on X-S10. If you select Auto ISO and set as AF mode AF-C with object tracking, then the max. ISO value is shown in the EVF, not the real value selected by the camera, if you half press the shutter. If you switch to AF-S, then the displayed ISO value is correct.

As X-S10 user, do you observe the same behaviour, I would like to know. I installed the latest version (2.62) of the firmware.

    Regards,
    Mustafa

You must have the SHUTTER AE option enabled for both AF-S and AF-C (though you may not want your exposure locked in AF-C).

Do you mean interlock spot AE and Focus Area (page 133 in user manual)? It is set to ON.

No, SHUTTER AE, it’s in button and dial settings (the exposure must be locked to see the ISO value)...

Erik, thank you. I set Shutter AE for both AF-S and AF-C to ON, but there is no improvement. In EVF I see still the max. ISO value. Dou you possess X-S10? If yes, would you please check this? Thank you.

Excuse me. I checked that under low light conditions at moment. You are right, now the correct ISO value is shown, if I set the max. ISO value to a higher value.

If you’re in Auto-ISO it will always read the max limit unless the exposure is locked (AEL assigned to a button will work too). I highly recommend setting an ISO 12800 limit for all three presets and a different minimum SS for each for the best performance.

I noticed, as you recommended, shutter AE lock for AF-C with object tracking makes no sense, when you move the frame for any reason, for example for better composition. The light conditions may change.

I saved two auto ISO sets under two custom settings (C1..C4). One with a max. ISO 3200 (for better IQ), the second one with a max. ISO 12800 for shots for moving objects. I will observe with the time how those settings impact images I take.
