A photo and accompanying crop from the X-T5 and Sigma 56mm 1.4 shot at ISO 1000, 1/250th, f/1.4. Pushed two stops in post- so effectively ISO 4000. This was my first chance to use images from a commercial shoot with the new AI noise reduction in LightRoom. I am VERY happy with the results. The exta resolution in the X-T5 also made it quite easy to do a significant crop and maintain high image quality.
The photo of the beers is taken at ISO 3200 and pushed 1.7 stops in post- so effectively it was near ISO 12800. This really opens up the sort of performance envelope I can feel comfortable with when using the Fuji. Yes, third parties like DXO and Topaz have been doing this for a while now, but having it native to the app is always nice. photos.app.goo.gl/q6tbTaYn76fxUtiAA

I agree with your verdict Robert. I took this at midnight Easter Sunday in candlelight only at ISO 12800 ƒ/2.8 1/17 17mm Tamron 17-70 Fuji X-T5 :

I gave the new noise reduction a try and using the defaults resulted in smeared images. As I get great results with DxO Pure RAW 3 I moved on. Did any of you find instructions to use the new filter? If every image requires playing it's a waste of time IMHO when I can get automatic results that are great.

Default value is 50% NR which is too much try 25%. It gave me better results than NeatImage
