Yesterday I came across Xpano, a free panorama stitcher developed by Tomas Krupta, for Linux and Windows.
It's very simple and easy to use, and also faster than any other pano-stitcher I've used before on my PC.
I recommend anyone interested tries it out.

Too bad there is no version for MAC OS!

    Metadata.
Xpano doesn't currently support metadata, meaning your exported panorama won't have any.

    Good job,

It was designed to be built that way. I think they even say it somewhere in docs.

Thanks for the share. Does it use jpeg's only?

I imagine it uses TIFFs too... I don't actually know though. I'm pretty sure it doesn't support RAW.

Xpano has been updated to 1.12.0.
    From Tomas himself:
    "There is a an update of Xpano: Release 0.12.0 - Persistent options · krupkat/xpano · GitHub 12
this time more focused on UX:

    -welcome message, warning messages
-showing a changelog after version update (starting with the next version)
-loading '‘tif’ as well as “tiff” files
    -version number in window title
    -persistent user preferences

As before, I’d be happy to get your feedback if you encounter any issues / have ideas for improvement.

The next version will be more feature focused, I currently have metadata support 2 and Multiblend integration 7 in process, stay tuned."
