It's a town in the North of England (for those who are not a UK native). It's very impressive and historical - here's a few I took.
Yes, I did some of the city wall. But it was glorious sunshine, so no chance of shots like yours.

I like the composition of this one but we need more drama.
I've taken the liberty of making a radical edit, if you don't want it I'll remove it

That made me chuckle. Cheers.

I don't like adding things when I edit my photos, but some people do it as part of a creative process, to reinforce an idea or even to change the meaning of the image.
In this case, I don't think it worked.
1: You've added a duck, but there are other birds more suitable for a church such as doves which symbolize peace, gentleness...
2: The duck should have the same blur as the background and you should have added its shadow on the ground.
3: The duck is stationary and perpendicular to the lines of the floor, which takes away from the dynamism of the image.
I dont see why a duck should not wander into a church if the door were left open. In any case, the pattern on the floor in the picture does not of itself suggest an ecclesiastical environment.
The duck is presumably meant to stand out from the background, and you need quite a lot of focussed light to create a shadow.
Ducks are not known for respecting the direction of lines on floors, and probably dont care how dynamic they look when not flying.

Thanks David, yes, it was just a bit of fun to spruce up a boring photo.
Maybe we should have a separate forum for "fun" photos.
Alan
I try to have fun in every thread I contribute to. Putting it in its own category would probably Be counter-productive, as there is clearly no agreed definition of fun. 😆
I never think of Chester as being „oop north“: it is almost in Wales. That said, there is room for a lot more photos of the city. (I‘m doing my best to showcase where i live! How about a thread on Rochdale, Heywood and Bury?
