This weekly thread is principally intended for you to show others the photos made with Canon cameras of all sorts: SLR, DSLR, Mirrorless, M-series, APS-C, film, etc. BUT all brands of camera will be accepted, including photos taken with your phone. We do enjoy reading an accompanying text explaining your photo and any special techniques you may have used. Comments and helpful criticisms on others' photos are also welcome: we can all learn something from each other. We look forward to seeing your photos.

A new thread for the following week will be posted next Saturday around 10 pm UK time.

Digirame and I will be active here and are sharing the hosting, but we hope that all will join in and comment on others' photos.

One of the many UK places we didn't have visited. Actually only spend three weeks in the Highlands a few years ago😍

    Hi Photobygms, Thank You.

It's well worth the visit, plenty of small villages and beautiful coves to view and photograph. 😄

We didn't know for sure what the weather would be, the forecast was also a bit inconclusive.
It did actually turned out to be reasonable nice so we did enjoy a nice hike at the Balloërveld a heath nature reserve close to home.
Did go light again with only the Canon Eos R and Canon RF 24-240mm F/4-6.3 IS USM and the Canon Eos 1V and EF 24-105 F/4L IS USM.
Did do struggle sometimes with the EVF but do like the results I do get with the 24-240.
Glad I did get another copy so we both won't have to fight about who will be using that lens😂

    Mocha.

That's a great description. Outstanding views! Thanks for showing them to us.

Hope it is not too hot there.

That sounds like a lot of gear; but the RF24-240 is a great lens.

These are great pictures of Dutch scenery. Honestly, they remind me of pictures I have seen in art galleries (Jacob van Ruisdael?). I think it is the sky and the flat horizon that does it. But the colours are very faithful too.

Which ones? The first two? For artistic effect? Presumably the darkest bit was on the sky.

Wonderful shots all around. I like these two - the first for the nice soft look in the OOF areas and the the second one because of the great interplay of light and shadows. Very well seen and captured!

I was on a short vacation during the last couple of days and in true macro shooter fashion, I decided to capture the interesting colored drinking glasses the hotel we stayed at had 😁. I'm sure some people thought I'm part of the paparazzi shooting low, just over the table surface... 😅 "Don't worry, people - I'm just here for the colors and light (and drinks)!"

Macro can be a struggle, for us at least, we both do have mixed results, and no patience 😂
But I do love the results you keep posting @simplejoy.

    Brilliant shots mocha.
I like the above, the fisherman, best. It's always nice to see Cornish locals rather than tourists - even though I guess I'm a tourist too!
