We didn't know for sure what the weather would be, the forecast was also a bit inconclusive.
It did actually turned out to be reasonable nice so we did enjoy a nice hike at the Balloërveld a heath nature reserve close to home...

    Very nice!
Numbers #3 and #5 are my favourites, both excellent shots.

That small emperor moth caterpillar is one of my favorites to, it also shows what the RF 24-240 is capable of👍

Hi everyone, more shots from Cornwall.

Firstly, a view of Gwithian Sands (a beach)

    And another
    20230621-P6210568.jpg

    A view of Godrevy beach
    20230621-P6210575.jpg

This is a ruin of an old tin mine. I thought the red wall looked good with the green foliage.
    20230621-P6210509.jpg

This is a rather stark, simplistic shot of the old tin mine tower. Straight out of camera (save for resizing) - do you think it's completely straight?

...I wonder if his [Dunlin] and Mocha's paths crossed, though Cornwall is quite long, east to west.

I spent my time in Cornwall around St. Ive's Bay and the Lizard point. See the circled areas on the below map:

    Hi simplejoy, Thank You.

It was blue skies all the way during June, my favourite month, there is so much going on in natures garden. 😃

    Hi Dunlin,

    Super set of photos.

That's a cracking photo of Godrevy beach, such a beautiful area.

Photo 4 is interesting, the colours stand out really well.

Preparing for lift off. This little bee had so much pollen all over him he had to remove some before he could fly.
But fly he did, only just.
I really thought he wasn't feeling well at first. He came out from the back of the flower quite slowly then sat at the front for at least a minute slowly scraping away pollen until he finally lifted off and headed home with his haul.

@SteveP you've done an excellent job keeping that bee in focus.
I've read that the 90D's tracking abilities are relatively poor, so great job.

Thanks Dunlin. The second shot was pure luck as I'm using center point focus and didn't think I'd got any of the in flight shots.

Not as many photos were posted this week as usually; but the comments and interchange of ideas were stimulating. It was just too hot here for me to venture out.

Mocha reported from his Cornwall trip with lovely photos characteristic of the place, its flora and fauna.

Dunlin, also in Cornwall, showed us a glimpse of the wonderful deserted sandy beaches, and a tin mine, from what was once a major industry there.

Photobygyms presented photos of the countryside near where he lives in the Netherlands -- a contemporary spin on the Dutch Old Masters -- plus a magnificent emperor moth caterpillar.

Simplejoy took his inspiration this week from the drinking glasses in his hotel, expertly captured -- plus a carrot, with a suitable backround!

Steve P had the patience and the luck to get both a working bee and the flower in focus.

Steve Thomas was up early -- before the animals arrived -- but still found something interesting to show us.

Thank you all for sharing your photos and participating in the discussions.

    David
