    Photobygms,

I like seeing all of that green. I sometimes just take pictures of green plants also without flowers. Usually, that is when the first leaves show themselves in the spring. But I can't seem to take them like that with the shallow DOF, since I prefer sharp photos (for the most part, with some exceptions).

...and I finish the cornish shots (finally... who said what?) with a visit to the oh-so-well-known seaside town of St. Ives.

I'm quite happy with this panorama.

I do like all the photos, but this one was puzzling me 😳
First I thought it was a old and worn thrown away shoe, but than I realized it a bit more fishy 😀

This is more of an experiment than anything else.
I hardly ever shoot at very wide apertures, but I wanted to toy with a 50mm prime lens at f/2.8.
Shooting in Av mode, it kicked the shutter speed up to 1/1600, which is totally unnecessary for a stationary object, but what the heck 😀

Even with f/2.8 still a reasonable DOF But that because foreground is not that isolated from the background, if you would change your own position you might get a more shallow DOF effect, And also shooting at f/1.8 could be an option to enhance the shallow DOF.
    😉

So, no prizes given, but who can guess what's the weather's like today, here on the southern coast of England?

    Hi Dunlin, Thank You.

We're still getting heavy rain, I think they've said we could have some sunshine next week 😀 😂

    Hi David,

It is indeed a sad story, however your pictures to accompany your narrative are excellent, I particularly like photo 4.

    Hi all,

As Dunlin showed earlier the state of the UK weather. Here's this mornings photo as I walked alongside a stream. Overnight must of been torrential, I could only walk so far along the path.

    Dunlin,

I liked seeing some of your scenes. It may be ordinary for you, but it can be interesting for us that live so far away.

Yes, I also found a dead fish on Bateman Island, Washington a few weeks back and took its photograph. It was a salmon.
