Hi Mocha123
Great work on the canal shot, nicely done.
The Chaffinch is a beautiful bird.
Fantastic close-up of the fly!
You seem to be a tamron fan and they really work well for you.
I have 3 tamrons across 2 systems and they are really very good lenses.

Looks more like a Ca-shoe tree! 😂

You little sneaker, you.

Hi Digirame
Nice pics and lovely rich colours of the Lavender fields.
Good to see the people getting in amongst it all.
I shot some Lavender fields in Tasmania many year ago and enjoyed seeing them very much.
Sounds like you had a lot of fun there, on your 'holiday' before your holiday. 😀
Cheers

Hi Steve
Nice shots of an unusual bush/tree.
Be interesting to see if it bears any fruit at some point, cashews would be nice.

Nice pictures everyone.
From lavender to canals to shoes to coffee to emus to fruit flies to birds...
Quite a variety.

Some more bird images from Monday morning's walk to a nearby lake and surrounds in Sydney (Australia).
All with the R8 and Tammy 100-400 plus the Tammy 1.4tc.
A Chestnut Teal duck splashing about
A couple of White-Faced Heron pics, this is quite a small Heron and gets out of the way of the Egret in the next pics.
A Little Egret (with a black beak and a constant yellow on the upper part of its face)
First shot is a bit soft, but it was having a small snack
Finally, some pics of a Black-Winged Stilt
A close up (enlarged in Topaz AI)
and having a scratch
Thanks for looking
Cheers

That's an excellent shot - well done! 👍
Paul (fotoword),
Thanks. Yes, there are lots of summer activities where I live. I have a tendency to take more of those kinds of photographs (that is, events) during the warmer weather.
Paul (fotoword),
I enjoyed seeing your pictures of the wildlife. You make me want to go out and find some also.
Steve,
Cool. I especially like that you caught the helicopter near the ground level between the trees.
Thanks @Digirame.
I like all your shots very much, but the fruit fly photo is amazing.
Hi Dunlin, Thank You.
Your facts about the fruit fly is interesting probably a good job they've more legs than us. Keeps them upright after a meal 😂 😂
A visit to a local-ish zoo in late July.
Hi Dunlin,
The Emu's are fantastic, you nailed the focus.
You seem to be a tamron fan and they really work well for you.
Hi fotoword, Thank You.
I'd seen many a review on the Tamron SP 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD and was impressed with the feedback, my only issue with it, it's a bit slow to focus.
I did ponder with the 150 to 600mm whether to go with the Sigma or Tamron but at that time I couldn't find the Sigma for sale in the UK so went for the Tamron. I know people that had issues with the Tamron G1 but I was one of the lucky ones and Digirame also has the G1 and has said he has no issues also.
The Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Di VC USD Macro is sharp but suffers from chromatic abberation at times, mostly this can be rectified with Lightroom/Photoshop.
