This weekly thread is principally intended for you to show others the photos made with Canon cameras of all sorts: SLR, DSLR, Mirrorless, M-series, APS-C, film, etc. BUT all brands of camera will be accepted, including photos taken with your phone. We do enjoy reading an accompanying text explaining your photo and any special techniques you may have used. Comments and helpful criticisms on others' photos are also welcome: we can all learn something from each other. We look forward to seeing your photos.
New contributors to this series of threads are always welcome!
A new thread for the following week will be posted next Saturday around 10 pm UK time.
Digirame and I will be active here and are sharing the hosting, but we are used to all joining in and commenting on others' photos.
It seems that at least one person who posts in another thread objects to members editing his photos for the purpose of illustrating suggestions. If you prefer that your photos not be used in that way, please just say so, and we will respect your request.

THIS PAST WEEK
Digirame showed us a plethora of photos taken at a local Oregon airshow. Some remarkable shots of skillful acrobatics, skillfully captured. Also beautiful pink flowers.
Steve T is gaining experience with long exposures by means of ND filters. we are all learning alongside him. His "study in red" would have been even more impressive if the uploaded files had been larger.
Mocha was by the River Goyt and caught some excellent shots of exotically coloured birds and funghi. He was the only one to come up with bonfire night fireworks -- thanks!
I went out for a walk in the dull weather and discovered two roses in excellent shape close to the back door. The roadworks here are still ongoing!
Photobygms found a seagull that has brown feathers -- I never saw one like it. The bird was absorbed in figuring out what to do with an appple core. His dragonfly was lovely. Where do they go in the winter? Proving that it is not a sin to use ISO 12800, he captured two graceful deer very beautifully.
Opencube's experiments in reworking colours imaginatively continue to cause us to "double take".
Simplejoy never fails to find a new twist on an everyday object!
Keep 'em coming, guys -- both the photos and the helpful comments!
And please feel free to enter your best shots in the Photo of the Week competition.
