    Thank you kindly Digirame!

This is in Andøy, Norway. Along the west coast of the island. This particular spot is one of the more visited places along the island, though the roads are narrow and often bad, it's well worth a trip here.

    Thank you Dunlin!

I am indeed. After a little PP it turned out quite alright I think. The G12, aka tiny "brick" as I call it, is a great camera. I bought it second hand in January and been using it when I am out and about in areas such as by the seaside and i don't wish to bring my more expensive equipment. It's been great and I love the CCD colours and having that little extra reach in a fairly small body is perfect for my type of photography.

The moon is coming around now. It will be full in the next day or two.

    Everybody watch your driving.

    Steve,

That's a nice picture of the moon. I like seeing it with the clouds and the tree.

What happens to driving during a full moon? I read in one place on the internet, that increased "lunatic" driving behavior during this time is actually a myth, but I didn't spend too much time analyzing it. It would be an interesting topic.

A little edit: Another article said (per this one study) that driving accidents increased 5% for men and those over the age of 40 during a full moon. Again, I didn't spend much time reading about it.

This past Monday, it was another sunny day. So I decided to go on a walk. I found this heron flying away. I had enough shutter speed and the depth of field was good. I don't take many BIFs (birds in flight), so consider this a rare one from me. 😀 But occasionally I get a few....

    Dig,

Yeah, people get more anxious and aggressive during a full moon. People seem to drive faster during the period of a full moon. It's best not to argue with other drivers during this time. Just smile and let them have the right of way. I'd be willing to bet that road rage incidents are higher during full moons.

    Nice heron.

A nice one! I should have thought that birds in flight were comparable in difficulty to airplanes in flight, at which you are good!

    David,

Thanks. For me, taking pictures of birds in flight can be more difficult because where I find birds there are a lot of trees. But there's this one area (where this picture was taken) that has relatively large bodies of water and not as many trees that block the view. In areas where's there are many trees, some photographers wait for the birds to land in the water. They position the cameras/lenses often on tripods waiting for the moment. Most of the time, I don't have the patience to wait for the birds like they do. But occasionally I will. There's just so many different things to photograph.

Steve, I never thought about it until now, but we have the same lunar phases.
I want to try some (very casual) astro shots, as we're having a lot of clear nights, but the best time is around a new moon, so I'm waiting.

    Dunlin,

Thanks. Since the heron was flying away from me, I had to be quick I only got this one (that was any good). The second photo was similar but the wing blocked the head from view.

On the same day and location that I saw the flying heron I saw these cute ducklings near mama. 😀 I hope you like....

I went out this evening and returned with a lot of shots. I will just post this one for the time being, as it was what I was really aiming for. It is of the Karlskirche (St. Charles Borromeo Church) in Vienna. I used my Laowa 12mm lens at f/11, 1/200s, ISO 100. EXIF info is probably weird, as it is a manual focus lens.
