Dave,
Those are beautiful flowers. I'll have to keep an eye open for them.

Simplejoy,
That's an interesting photo. What is that? At first, it looked like the tip of a pencil.
Thanks Simplejoy. It's almost the end of the tulip flower season. But there's other flowers... I was lucky to have found this combination of lighting and shadows.
Subject: Tulip Farm
About a week ago on Sunday was out taking pictures at a tulip farm. It was a lot of fun. I used four cameras and four lenses.
I hope you all enjoy the photos.

A beautiful set there 😇
Tropical mocking bird 1, 2 Cocrico
Thanks Adventurer. It was cloudy most of the time, but fortunately it didn't rain. I remembered to set the white balance to cloudy, except for a few times when the sun came out. Then I set it to AWB.
Adventurer,
The tropical mocking bird is so interesting, so different than anything I have seen. I like how you used the sky as a background in the second photo. What camera and lens did you use?
Dig,
I can read a little Russian. I can't say what this sign says, but none of the words are for flowers or tulips, so I don't know what it's all about.
Steve Thomas
The lady that wrote the Russian sign 😄
Those fields are really something, love the colors and the uniformity, very nice.
The Dutch are pretty famous for their Tulip fields but the first ever Tulips over here were an import from the Ottoman Empire (present day Turkey) in the 16th century 😉
p.s.
I have also only encountered owls on less than a handful of occasions and I have been going outdoors for about 30 years or so.
That's a scary looking pencil!
David
It is a dangerous world for pencils out there... you don't know the half of it! 😉

Thank you! Yep - that's it. You can get significantly more abstract with pens and pencils:

Steve,
I looked through other pictures I took, and I saw a similar sign in Spanish, but not in English. It said something like, for your safety (seguridad) and the safety (seguridad) of the flowers, please keep on the wide paths. Do the Russian words say something like that?
Ray, thanks. I didn't know that about the tulips being first in Turkey.
Simplejoy, that's neat that you get so many interesting photos from a pen or pencil.

I think so.
English word: And Russian word:: i 1st word in the second line
English word: safety Russian word: безопасность 2nd word in the second line
English word: Wide Russian word: широкий 1st word in the last line
Englsh word: Walkways Russian word: дорожки 2nd word in the last line
Good going Dig.

Thanks to all for nice and inspringly unusual pictures so far. Not the kind of thing that DPR seemed to specialise in.
I am catching up with photos that I took a year or so ago. This is a still life of horse chestnuts. In the autumn, these nuts are all over the place where I live. I wish one could actually preserve them and make something with them; but the best I have managed are photos like this.
Keep posting your photos -- and keep the comment coming!

One more: this was taken in better light in October 2021 of the monument that I showed on page one of this thread. I thought you might like to see the detail that the artist put into his sculpture. From the ground, none of this is at all visible, of course, with the naked eye. The EOS RP is not a bad camera!
